Milwaukee Museums and Art Galleries

(Milwaukee, Wisconsin - WI, USA)

Milwaukee is well-known for its commendable museums and focus on child education and entertainment. Art too has become an important draw card to this part of Wisconsin, particularly after the opening of the truly breathtaking Milwaukee Art Museum, which features unforgettable architecture crowned by a sail-like structure.

Ranging from institutions housing native North American artifacts to the exciting hands-on activities at Milwaukee's Discovery World Museum, these impressive attractions appeal to all age groups. The Discovery World is especially popular with families and was formerly located at North James Lovell Street, moving to its present lakefront setting on North Harbor Drive in 2006, when it officially became known as the Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin.
